Our Story
Our owners, Mike and Adie Walls, originally started in the elder care business by providing care in the homes of their clients. When Adie's grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, her and Mike moved back home to Lake Jackson, TX to help take care of him. They started an in-home senior care business and began offering their services to other families. Their new business quickly grew and they expanded their services throughout Brazoria County and neighboring areas.
Over time it became evident that not everyone was able to stay and receive care within their own home. The only options available at the time were large facilities that lacked the comfortable family setting and lifestyle when assisted living was needed. There was one assisted living facility in the area that was different. Revered Texan Hearth & Home was already providing the small personal care home model.
As Adie's grandfather's disease progressed, the family made the tough choice to look at assisted living options. Mike and Adie met with the founder and owner of Revered Texan and found out that she was getting ready to retire. Within just a few months the Walls had purchased Revered Texan and incorporated their in-home care model and experience into their new personal care home. Today, Revered Texan remains the only personal care home in the Brazosport area, and the only assisted living that caters to those who wish for a home like living option and high quality experience for their loved ones.
